To get to know more about the harsh life in the field, you can stop here, at the Museum of Life and Work in Cecina.
The most commonly used farmer’s tools in the northern Maremma area are housed in Villa Guerrazzi, an eighteenth-century aristocratic building.
The collection is organised by thematic areas: there is the sector dedicated to working the land, where ploughs, carts, reapers, threshers are exhibited; the sector dedicated to cultivation and to harvesting of grain, using ventilators, sifters, hay grinders...
There is also the grape harvest, with its strippers, grape sinks, sulphur cleaners and hoppers for wine-making processes.
