One section of the museum is dedicated to wine, a characteristic element of Tuscan tradition.
The tools on show come from various stages of the wine-making process: the sulphur cleaner, that sprays sulphur onto the vines to protect them from mildew (a damaging fungus), the presser, the wooden stick to crush the grapes, the tool for filtering the must, with sack cloth filters and the wooden hopper for bottling wine.
These are antique, wooden tools. Today, for healthy and safety requirements and also to speed up work, the tools are now made in steel and are electrical.
