In a travertine marble quarry dug in medieval times close to the historical centre of Massa Marittima and used as an air-raid shelter during the war, the internal environments of a mine have been set up by real former miners.
Inside you can find tools and machinery used in this traditional craft, including mechanical shovels, pneumatic drills and wagons for transporting people or minerals.
